What it was

zombiehobbit.com was my corner of the internet from 2009 to 2015 — somewhere to post whatever I fancied, which ended up being the home of the Spiffing Review film podcast, the Arms Race video series, and a fair bit else besides, most of it flying the It’s A Trap! flag.

Why it existed

The plan was a blog — a corner of the internet that was simply mine. In practice I barely blogged, because we were too busy actually making things instead: podcasts, films and the rest, nearly all of it under the It’s A Trap! banner. So it turned into less a place I wrote about stuff and more a place that gathered up whatever we’d made.

What I learned

That I set out to write and ended up doing instead — which was the better result. ZombieHobbit is really the record of that: proof that sometimes the blog you don’t get round to writing is just a sign you were busy making the things worth writing about.
